KT (smiles back): Hello! I'd like a tall half-shot latte for here, please.
Barista (fingers hover over register): What?
KT: I'd like a tall ... half ... shot ... latte, please.
Barista (repeats to self while punching register): tall ... latte.
KT (waves hand between Barista and register): No. A tall ... HALF-SHOT ... latte.
Barista: What?
KT: That's a latte with only half a shot of espresso.
Barista: So you want only one shot?
KT: No. I want only half a shot of espresso in my latte please.
Barista (frowns): But there are two shots in a grande latte, so half would be one shot.
KT: True. But I don't want a grande latte, I want a tall latte.
Barista: So one tall latte?
KT: Yes. With only half a shot of espresso.
Barista: You want only half an espresso?
KT: Yes. In a tall latte, please.
Barista: That's not a lot of coffee.
KT: Nope.
Barista: Is that for here or to go?
KT: For here, please, thank you.
Barista (rings up one grande latte): Anything else?
KT (ignores the price): Yes, I'd like a slice of Black Chocolate Truffel Cake as well, please.
Barista (repeats to self while punching register): One ... Black and White ... Cookie.
KT (points at cake in display): No, one piece of Chocolate Cake please.
Barista (frowns): Oh. Wait.
Barista (punches register for a while): OK.
KT (raises left eyebrow at Barista): For here, please.
Barista: Oh. The cake. Would you like a fork?
KT: Yes, that would be nice, thank you!
Barista (fetches cake): Here.
KT (smiles): Thank you.
Barista (turns to KT's friend): And for you?
KT's friend: Hi! I'd like a tall skinny iced vanilla latte for here, please!
Barista (fingers hover over register): What?
